About Megan Mekhail

Megan is passionate about working with adults and adolescents. She provides a compassionate, client-centered approach, helping individuals find healing and hope. She has experience treating anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, self-harm, and disordered eating, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She is also certified in Prepare and Enrich for premarital counseling.

Megan earned her Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from James Madison University. She has gained experience working with Harrisonburg Foster Care and the Victim Witness Offices, as well as living in cross-cultural settings abroad.

Megan is conversationally fluent in Spanish and offers services in Spanish, as well as Christian counseling for clients who request it.

​

In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, and visiting new coffee shops with her husband, Martin. They have a golden doodle named Leo who loves to play and keeps them active.
